November 2010, FSI published a report conducted by leading consultants Accenture which examined the diverse profiles of International Financial Services (IFS) activity and how the sector contributes to the Irish economy.
In 2014, FSI conducted a follow up research study to our 2010 report on Ireland's IFS sector. This research shows dramatic changes in the composition of the international financial services industry. The study highlights a shift in employment patterns, with international banking jobs lost, but with gains in fund administration, insurance and payments. Total employment was 35,700 at the end of 2012 and continues to grow. Of that number, over 10,000 people are employed outside Dublin.
