Financial Services Ireland has the following active Working Groups. Further information on the objectives of these groups can be found below.






Working Groups

FSI Executive Board
The Executive Board is the primary decision making body of Financial Services Ireland. The Board meets regularly to discuss common strategic issues of concern for the financial services sector and to engage with senior policy makers and influencers. The composition of the Executive Board reflects the totality of the financial services sector. The current Chairman of the Board is Fergus Murphy, EBS Building Society.

FSI Banking & Treasury Group
The Banking & Treasury Group is made up of mostly companies involved in banking and treasury activities in the IFSC. Taxation and regulatory issues are central to this group which meets approximately eight times a year. The Chairman of the Group is Padraig Rushe, Bank of Ireland. FSI/IIF Life Assurance Group
The main purpose of this group is to focus solely on issues of importance and interest to those involved in the IFSC Life Assurance Business. The companies participating in this group aim to monitor regulation, infrastructure, employment and taxation issues which are likely to impact on the future development of the international life assurance business in Ireland. FSI Stand Alone Corporate Treasury Group
This group serves to assist in the development of the corporate treasury sector in Ireland. The Group discuss and lobbies on issues of importance to the sector, with regulatory matters and taxation issues being of primary concern. The Group is chaired by Susan Webb, Pfizer International Bank Europe. Please contact Brendan Bruen for further information.

FSI HR Forum
The FSI HR Forum is a best practice forum for HR professionals in Financial Services Sector. All HR practitioners working in companies who are fully comprehensive members of Financial Services Ireland are eligible to join the group. The HR Forum provides a valuable networking opportunity for HR professionals in the financial services sector as well as providing an opportunity for information and good practice exchange on such issues as regulatory developments, recruitment, retention, induction, training, development, reward & recognition.
The group meets up to six times a year to discuss the salient issues affecting the sector, developing HR strategy and to share best practice experience across a wide range of issues.

FSI Regulatory Affairs Strategy Group
The Regulatory Affairs Strategy Group is FSI's main working group on regulatory issues. It focuses on high-level, cross-sectoral issues such as the consolidation and modernisation of financial services law, the formulation of the Financial Regulator's Strategic Plan, and the development of Better Regulation principles. The group is made up of senior compliance professionals and executives from institutions operating in every sector of the industry and it meets approximately six times per year. Irish Securitisation Forum
The Irish Securitisation Forum is the representative voice for the securitisation industry in Ireland. The ISF is jointly supported by Financial Services Ireland (FSI) and the Irish Bankers Federation (IBF). The ISF delivers a cohesive voice for the Irish securitisation sector involving all parts of the sector (investors, issuers, service providers, etc) and has a clear vision for the development of the sector. The ISF’s vision is for Ireland to become a leading global centre for securitisation. The ISF’s work programme reflects our ambition for excellence and growth: ensuring an appropriate regulatory and legislative environment, promoting and marketing Ireland as a major centre for securitisation and building on our expertise through professional skill development.
